Visit of Vice-President
We were delighted to welcome the Vice President of the Methodist Conference, Richard Vautrey, and his family to Englesea Brook on the 26th July. Richard was guest preacher at our monthly heritage service which this month reflected on changing attitudes to mission in Africa. After the service the Vautreys enjoyed a tour of the site as well as some time at Mow Cop where the weather was good (in that the rain fell vertically rather than horizontally).
Reflecting on the visit afterwards Richard noted that 'one of the strong features of the museum and its work is to link the Primitive Methodist history with contemporary issues; and this comes across strongly in the significant work the museum is doing with children.'
